Bubble tea, tea houses, Asian bakeries and dessert shops in this group are usually walk-in, counter-order businesses with a menu board overhead listing sweetness and ice levels you can adjust when ordering. Standard bubble tea customization includes sugar level (0-100%), ice level, and a choice of toppings like boba pearls, pudding or jelly, usually at a small extra charge. Asian bakeries sell items individually with tongs and a tray, cafeteria-style, rather than pre-boxed, and pastries are typically less sweet than Western bakery items. Lines build up quickly after school and in the evening, especially near colleges. Most of these businesses accept cards and mobile pay and skew younger in clientele and atmosphere.

Pasadena is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Pasadena follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Only passing through while on the way home. Sorry to say this was the worst Mexican bread I ever bought. The concha went rock hard in one day even when put in a freezer zip lock. The biscuite I had didn't taste like it should. No parking and hard to find parking on the street. Cash only or Zelle.

The bread quality has gone down. I remember back in 2019 when the bread was very good and now it is just ok. Prices are a little too high, but I guess prices are just getting raised everywhere. I wouldn't come back anymore.

I just bought two pineapple tamales and the one on the right look different and tasted sour and old, definitely not worth the price or coming back. Hope you can tell the difference on the picture, what is really upsetting is that I bought those tamales for my daughter.

Been to Chapala bakery #2 in Pasadena and have always had great experiences. Last night not so much I went and a young man didnβt even bother to greet us when walking in. Smelled like straight marijuana and didnβt seem to know what he was doing! Overall the bread is amazing and tamales are always great. Just lack of attention and good service.
